Is anyone else having trouble de-authorizing Fin09?

Forgive me for asking, but why are you trying to deauthorize it?

Hey Bill,

No need to - each version of Finale has it's own 2 authoristions. You certainly want to keep Fin09 installed in case something doesn't work properly in v10.

Cheers,

Tim

Actually, can’t activate 2010 either. Finale’s not seeing my internet connection. I’m wondering if it’s because I use Vonage.

Anyone other Vonage user’s out there?

Generally speaking, you are either on the Internet or you're not. If you can log in to post this, you should be able to authorize Finale. But you can always call them on the phone and do it that way.

Are you getting an error message? If so, what are the exact contents of the entire error message?

Happened to me with Finale 2009 both at home and at work. Firewalls and anti-virus disabled and still the same message. Register it over the phone; it'll be faster than trying to figure it out.

Firewalls are hard to "disable," but very easy to close the user interface. The best way to disable a firewall is to prevent it from loading in the first place when you boot. As johnmouse indicates, in this case it will be easier to register over the phone.
