For obvious reasons I cannot repeat my previous role as the "Vista Pioneer" for Finale (while posting under my late, lamented avatar, Ebony Ivory), I expect to be putting Windows 7 on one of my computers imminently, and you can be sure I'll be bashing Finale 2005b, alongside Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Acrobat - not to mention my own software, WIN-PROLOG - to check for compatibility. Heck, I'll probably install Finale 2006c for the ride ...

For different reasons (eyesight related) Finale 2005b works better for me than any of the more recent versions (though using them is at least possible), due to a visual format change that was made starting with 2006. Unfortunately, things are at the place where my main music computer setup can no longer be in the land of the 32 bit o/s. If necessary, I can keep 2005b on an older generic computer, but that would not be preferred. | | Back to Top | |
