Anyone check it out?

Brace yourselves, folks. I ordered Finale last week and it was delivered this week. Unfortunately, I'm out of town this week so I don't know if I got the DVD or not. I'll report back on it when I get home next week.
Because the UI is new to me, the DVD would be of considerable use to me.

As I've said before, I don't need 99% of the differences between PM and Finale. In fact, I suspect that I will still use PM for a lot of my work. I fear that Finale offers so many choices, I'll never get anything done!

Mike, yes I've tried the demos and I agree that the new selection tool is nice. But I'm used to the old one, and it works and doesn't give me problems, so that isn't that compelling an argument to me. On the other hand, I had my heart set on getting the Allegro features (particularly beat charts and control over HP) so I'm going to be pig-headed and hold my breath until they get their act together. $400 for the upgrade from PM07 to Finale is way outside my budget (and yes that is the upgrade price); also I'm pretty sure that if I had that many knobs and buttons to fiddle with I'd never finish anything (I'm a compulsive fiddler (nothing to do with violins)). When I tried Allegro, I suspect that I would never have finished my tryout piece if it hadn't been for the deadline imposed by the 30 day limit.
