But would an excess of Finnish vodka make one more likely to impulsively buy Sibelius instead of Finale?

"Perkele!"  You got me there!!!   freaked

PS:  Though, Sibelius was part Swede-Finn so it would take some Absolut as well!  lol

I didn't know they still made the stuff. I loved their commercials with the cartoon bear when I was a kid.

All seriousness aside, back to the ranch, etc., I just picked up my new Finale from my mail service (I've been out of town) and it does have the instructional video. It will be a while before I get around to watching it. I'll let you know if it is any good for me once I do.

You surprise me, Mike. I thought observing Jews didn't like Hamm's.

Couldn't resist.

Well, I viewed the DVD. It is a very, very basic overview of what Finale can do with emphasis on using keyboard shortcuts. It would be of use for someone who has never used Finale products before but the same information could have been derived from the Quick Start Videos and the Tutorials. Personally, I feel the $29.95 ($39.95 after 12/15) is WAY overpriced for what one gets (although I enjoyed Tom Johnson's dry sense of humor). It would be an excellent free advertising download, though.

"Perkele" was what my grandmother called our dog, Perky. "...ele" is a Yiddish suffix, meaning "cute little..."
Katzlele=cute little cat, i.e., kitten
