Hi all,

Need help ASAP!! I created a piece using the setup wizard. I now want to change the tempo as it is much too slow and nothing I seem to try will increase the tempo at all. Nothing happens when I input a new tempo in the playback control or when I try to designate a new tempo with the expression tool.
What can I do???? It's driving me nuts!

Thanks so much.

Use the Control Panel button and edit your forum signature to include your system/program information (see my signature...). This will help us give the correct answer for whichever product you're using.

When you use the expression tool to designate a new tempo, are you also changing the tempo in the Playback Tab?

Yes. I labelled the beginning of the piece as moderato with the expressions tool and then I typed in the new tempo to 108.
After listening, it seems to work for only the first measure--all the rest is playing at the old tempo.
Any thoughts?

There may be a second expression changing it back again. You might try posting the piece, or at least the first few measures.

Or indeed some hidden MIDI data. You can test this by deselecting the "Play Recorded Tempo Changes" checkbox in Playback Options, and if it corrects the tempo you can delete the data by highlighting the complete measure stack with the MIDI tool and pressing Backspace.
