Hi
I'm having some troubles in creating measures without barlines in order to create same measures of music with no times as in the two example in attachment.
I need to write a series of notes for improvisation (as in the first example) and a free cadenza as in example 3.
Sorry if my english is not perfect

Thanks in advance

The best way to deal with that first example is to make the measure 30/4. For the other example, just count the beats.

There is a plug-in called JW Time Sig that is very helpful with this. You can jam a lot of notes into a measure and then run the plug-in and it will assign the proper time signature to it. It is an ancient plug-in but amazingly it still works in 2011. It is immensely helpful for chant or cadenzas.

If you don't want to change the meter but just want to hide the barlines, you can do that with a staff style if it is for just one staff, or with the measure tool (invisible barline) for all the staves.

Unfortunately spreading this out over more that one measure will create spacing issues between the notes over the [invisible] barline.
