I opened up a chamber piece that I had done in Finale 2006 to make a few revisions. I'm finding that 100% of the time, when I move any expression that's assigned to more than one staff, but shows only on the top staff in the score (like rehearsal letters, tempos, tempo alterations, etc.), they duplicate. Meaning that the original stays in place, and the duplicated one goes to wherever I stop dragging it.
Doesn't matter whether I use the Selection tool or the Expression tool to drag it, it duplicates.
But it doesn't duplicate in the Expression Selection box; it's only happening on the screen.
This is opened from 2006 and saved in 2011, and therefore all of my expression categories are totally empty except for Miscellaneous. I assume this has something to do with this bizarre behavior.
Really, it's not all that big a deal, just a minor annoyance, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen?
Cheers,

Finale (started with ver. 3.0) 2010, 2011, 2012b installed Win XP basically ALL Garritan sounds, plus XSample Chamber Ensemble.
"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs." ~John Rogers | | Back to Top | |
