P.S.: I was checking things out when Charles posted. By the way, without unchecking that option, I find that while Layer 2 is selected, the rest disappears, but when Layer 1 is selected, it appears.

Thanks guys I guess I found the solution and a bug. I've never reported one before, hope I manage.
Selecting the hidden layer "shows" that the rests are hidden, by not showing any rests if of same value in different layers. Selecting visible (unhidden) layers shows the rests.
The bug/problem is that if I print with a "visible" layer selected I have the rests printed as well, but if I'm not careful and print while having selected a layer with hidden parts, the rests are "printed invisible" like the layer selected upon printing.
P.S. Upon some research I discovered something that might not be a bug but by design. If I select "show active layer only" and print then, it only prints the active layer shown, and nothing else. Is there an ON/OFF switch to this? „E tot ce va spun!”
