I imported a scanned file via music XML. It carried a lot of expressions. Some, like pp, I deleted form the palette, telling Finale to replace by the regular pp.

about 50 expressions remain that I want to delete from the expression selection palette and document completely, but each has to be done separately and a check put in "Delete element from both selection palette and score" for each.

This is the kind of repetitive task I would expect you could write a macro for.

Any Finalescript writers like to help me get started?

John,

Finalescript can do a lot of repetitive tasks, but not everything. You can refer to the Appendix in the user manual, or in the Finalescript list there is a Command Reference script, both of those sources list all of the possible scripts. Use those to create your own or edit pre-made scripts.

To do this task mentioned above, you would use the full version of TGTools plugins, not Finalescript. You can find this plugin under: Miscellaneous>Text Expression Sorter. One of the options in this plugin is to delete any unused expressions from a file. I believe that's what you're looking for.
