I'm not sure I understand what you're looking for. Are you trying to take one of the exercise files in SmartMusic and take it to Finale? Finale can't read any of SmartMusic's files, but the Exercise Wizard in Finale uses many of the same exercises as found in SmartMusic. In Finale go to the file menu and choose New >> Exercise Wizard. That should allow you to get started.
