Hi, thanks for your help Jari, just one problem..I can't send it as a post script file as I didn't select a post script printer driver..the document came out in the acrobat reader ok but some of the lines are thicker than others and the beaming is misaligned..will post scripting the document correct this or is it an unrelated problem?
How do I select a postscript printer driver?

Alan:
First close Finale. Then go to Start> Settings> Control Panel> Printers and see if there is a PostScript driver in there. If so, you can right-click it and select Set as Default. Close this stuff and reopen Finale.
If you don't have a PostScript driver already loaded, you can get one from within Windows. Do the Add New Printer wizard and select one of the HP Laser Jets like the 4MV.
Cheers.

The Distiller printer driver IS a PostScript driver.
