Hi,-

I like the Jazz font, and use it a lot. The problem is that special norwegian letters like æ,ø, and å (I don't know how this looks for you ...)don't exist. Suggestions??

Velkommen hit, Bjørn!

As you know, the letter ø is a part of the Jazz Font Chord suffixes; you'll find it in the character map. But it needs resizing and baseline adjustment to fit in with regular letters. I.E. it can't be used.

Æ and å are - as you say - not available. Billions and billions of Norwegian Finale and Jazz Font users would really like our special letters to be a part of the Jazz Font. Dear fellow norwegians: Let your voices be heard.

The maker of Jazz Font is Sigler Music. I'll send them a mail

Let's hope our Norwegian friends are familiar with 1970's American sitcoms.

Hi,

You can find the Å character in the Jazz Text Extended font.
Not sure if you find both the upper and lower case character.

Bjørn and others

Could not find the keychart for Jazz Font
Extended but in Siglers Swing Font Extended for
Macintosh those keystrokes are:

A (option-shift) = å
Ä (option-shift) = æ (Finnish keyboard)

I do understand that Windows has different
keystrokes but just wanted to let You know that < br> those characters are in the font.
Hope this helps You..

There is a work around for finding the character chart for the Jazz font ext.
If you select the Articulation tool and press Create, you have a button for font selection.
Here you can see all the characters in the font, as well as their Alt+ numbers.
Almost any other font would show these numbers in the Windows Character Map, but strangely enough the Jazz Font Ext. does not..

Regards,

Morten
