I have a great old Yamaha hardware sequencer that I still like to use, but it's cumbersome. I'd like to get a software sequencer. Does anyone know which ones could be integrated most smoothly with Finale 2000 on a Windows 98 platform?

Claude,
About any sequencer will work ok with Finale.
The upper-end choice is Sonar, formerly Cakewalk. The lower-end choice is Power Tracks Pro from PG Music. It's lower-end in price only--it does a large percentage of what Sonar does at a small fraction of the cost.
If you are inputting music into the sequencer, remember to quantize before dumping into Finale. If you're using the seq. for fine-tuning playback, all's well with either.
Why not d/l a demo of Power Tracks Pro at
www.pgmusic.com
and see if it does what you need it to do.
