50GB for free. Not bad.
My Finale folder is now almost 10 GB, including all scans, exports etc.
For Mobile, OS X, Windows.
They say - encryption as well. But, encrypt your data before uploading - if paranoid.

It seems to be based in New Zealand. I was married to an NZ woman for 23 years until 1999, and am still on e-mail terms with her (12,000 miles away), so I'll ask what, if anything, she knows about these people.

Some of these cloud storage facilities seem to come and go a bit (eg what happened to 'Copy'?).

I think Mega was founded by Kim Dotcom, a guy who "appeared" in the media a few years ago.
We learn from the blog /mega.nz/#blog that he apparently retired from Mega, which he founded claiming at the time that his main concern was security of the data.
In other words, the site is not new, but has a new staff which is not in good terms with its founder. Read the blog.
This doesn't tell much about the quality of the service, I know...

I understand that Kim Dotcom recentely lost his fight to prevent extradition to the US on criminal copyright violation charges.

:)
Anyway, Kim is not running Mega anymore, and they look very serious. 100 million users can't be wrong. As said, my Finale folder is extremely big now, therefore I was looking for more space.
Of course, don't believe in "encryption" babbling: if you are serious about the privacy, either encrypt your files before upload or have your own server out from the Internet.

Should I respond to that from my Myspace, Friendster or Napster account?
