I have a demo version of finale alegro and a midi keyboard yamaha
Whe I use a "simple note entry" facility qith the midi devise for input I can't use the midi for input music, only with the computer keyboard and mouse ( the midi reproduce the note, then the comunication at least in one way it's ok)
please can you support me in this problem.

You'll get better feedback if you post on the Windows or Mac notation forums. The first thing you'll want to check is in the MIDI menu >> MIDI Setup. See what you have selected for Input.

THe midi yamaha 01 usb
and this message appear when I try to push the bottom softhsinth settings
can not innitiaize the softsinth playback, another a´pplicattion maybe are using the the audi device. Choosing other alternate output devicewill allow play back
can you orient me?
