Sometimes I work on my score at home and sometimes at the office. The problem is that my MIDI setup is not the same in the two places. I've been setting up an instrument library specific for each location and then opening the instrument library and resetting my staves to the appropriate instruments when I open the file at the other location. I wondered if anyone had a better idea for a more automated way to make my instrument setup portable between the two locations.

If you can set the sounds to the same channels in each place you could turn off "Send Patches Before Play" and just use the channel designations in the document.
