Finale 14 (not 14a!), and just this week scrubbing went weird: when I hold down OPT/SPACE, Finale does a couple of spurts of playback. Sometimes it will let go and let me scrub; other times it simply starts to play back.

No changes in the computer or in Finale. Anyone else have this problem?

Does this happen on all files?

Have you restarted Finale? Rebooted Mac?

Mostly I still use 2011c
Staff Paper and #2 Pencil with eraser
OS 10.9.2

Yes to all three questions. It happens with both the wireless keyboard and the laptop keyboard. It's a mystery.

Dale, do you happen to have Webroot installed on your Mac? We've just recently had a few reports that this program can disable the scrubbing playback (which I was able to verify).
