Although I've been using various versions of Finale for the last several years for notation purposes only, I've recently begun working to create decent MIDI recordings to send out for various reasons, in part because of the recent improvements to the quality of MIDI sound and with the Garritan orchestra. My issue is that I like to have certain instruments in my orchestra double, using the same staff, and I don't know if it is possible to change the type of sound production mid-piece for a new instrument. I'm a bit miffed with my percussion section, hoping to have a percussionist play toms and glockenspiel in the same piece and have it sound in the MIDI.
Does anyone know if this is possible and, if so, how to accomplish this?
