When I try to copy one beat's worth of
music in 2002 with Select Partial
Measures chosen, I get about a hundred
128th notes tied together in the
destination measure. This happens
when I try to copy within the same
measure or into a new one. Am I doing
something wrong? I'm attaching a test file
that I'm having trouble with. Thanks!

It's gotta be having a grace note within the tuplet. If
you remove the grace note, you don't get all the
junk. The only thing I can think of is to avoid using
the copy feature with this kind of figure.

Thanks Michael,
Wouldn't this be a bug then? If so, is
Coda aware of this? I haven't read of this
one before. Writing this sort of figure over
and over is time consuming. Regrettably, I
have pages of stuff like this to write and
can't see doing it one at a time.

Brad, I think you can do it by selecting full
measures, instead of partial (if this helps you any).
I can't give you the nuts and bolts reason, but
maybe Coda Tech can.

Unfortunately that doesn't help much
since I've got to write variations and
variations of these patterns. Cutting and
pasting the partial measure is the
quickest way to write these sort of
exercises. I hope Coda tech responds. I'd
like to know if this is a bug or if the file
has a problem I'm unaware of. Thanks.
