Hi Dear Collagues,

I have found a problem, what I can't resolve, please help! :)

I would like to set an extended beam over a hided rest! How can I do this? (I know the the Patterson Beam over bar line plugin, but I would like an other way)
If I unhide the rest I can do it, but I would like a hided rest here! I tried to hide the flag of the 8th note. But I can't find it, how can I hide the flag.

Perhaps you might try this:

Enter two 8th notes.

With the Note Shape Tool (in Special Tools) replace the first notehead with a blank character.

Then you can set the length of the first stem to zero with the Beam Stem Adjust Tool (in Special Tools).

If you really need the hidden rest, enter it in layer 2 an hide it.

Instead of hiding the rest, move it down below the edge of the page.
In that way the rest will not print, even if it is not “hidden” (technically speaking).

To move rests, consider using the plug-in Move Rests:
Plug-Ins menu > Note, Beam, and Rest Editing > Move Rests…
