Does anybody else think the harp playback is too loud? It sounds over everything, sort of pounds away.
Is there some sort of fix besides changing the settings in studio view, and if that's how you do it, what do you recommend?
Default settings have a velocity of 101, pan = 64

The piano is also loud, choppy, and abrasive, even if marked with slurs and/or pedal signs.
Anybody have advice on that?

Thanks.

If the harp is too loud for you, set the velocity lower and perhaps use some reverb to soften it.
Surely you have a choice of pianos in GiFF and Kontakt, and the ability to modify them with effects.

set the volume in the Instrument list.
a few GPO instruments were recorded a bit louder than the rest (notably clarinet and bassoon).
I simply set those 5-10 points lower than the rest of the orchestra's default volume level.
I do the inverse for brass and percussion which are proportionally lower volume than they should be.

Finale (started with ver. 3.0) using 2012 (2014 has been shelved for its lack of support for older Garritan libraries), putting Finale 25 through its paces.
Windows 8.1

Thanks, Derrek and Michel. Do either of you think the harp volume is normal? (Does the harp usually sound that loud against full orchestra?)

As Michel mentioned, the various instruments were not recorded to reflect their relative volumes.
