I thought the VSL keyswitch dump file - which basically gives you a lot of keyswitches and controller settings as hidden text expressions (something I once tried to make myself, but failed), was pretty cool. I'm using w/ some VSL (non-Special Edition) samples, but also with other libraries.

Thing is - I'm noticing that all kinds of hidden keyswitches seem to be being added to various staves, whether or not I'm using hidden keyswitch expressions on them.

I'm attaching an example of a passage for strings. Most of the keyswitches here are actually being entered as hidden notes in layer 4, but a couple of the VSL keyswitches are used too.

The only keyswitches in use are C and F#. But when I open up a midi file of the excerpt in Logic, I see that C#s and D#s have been added.

I'm attaching the finale (25) and midi file of the excerpt in question. Major nuissance. Maybe it's something other than my use of those hidden expressions - maybe someone can see the problem here?

(UGH - I can't attach the finale file... will try to make it smaller somehow and add. 1.5mb as an attachment size limit is pretty archaic, no?)

For what it's worth - I'm noticing, looking in Logic, that very MANY of my staves have hidden keyswitches added to the midi file, usually C# and D#0. It doesn't affect most of the patches, but some it does. Where can these be coming from? Trying to get an example together.

Okay - here is a simple example. Just a clarinet example. You'll see I've used a hidden key switch. No hidden expressions used here. If you have a moment, take a look at the finale file, and then look at the midi file in a DAW - note the D#0s and C#0s that have been added. Where are they coming from???

As might be expected, the problem goes away if I disable Human Playback. I am using the VSL SE Human Playback preferences. I don't understand what setting in there may be generating these extraneous notes.
