Is there any way to rotate a text block 90 degrees to the right? I have a copyright line that needs to be placed vertically so that its baseline is parallel to the right hand margin. Thanks!

I did it by going into the custom line tool. I selected the wavy line that said glissando, and duplicated it. I changed the text to the copyright line, and made the line thickness 0 (zero)

I suspect there is an easier way, but this is what I came up, with!

Possibly create the copyright line as an image, and place the image on the page?
The edit the graphic attributes to make sure it gets placed on all pages

Cheers...

Finale can't rotate text, but you can create a custom Smart Shape with a zero line weight and text in the center that will rotate to any angle.

Select the Smart Shape Tool, option click on the question mark, hit Create, set line weight to zero and type the text into "Center Full". To enter it, press shift and move mouse upward - shift will keep it 90º vertical.

In case anyone's a visual learner, I made this video tutorial some 7 years ago describing this process, it's still relevant:

You can also rotate text in the Shape Designer.

The trick is basically the same as in the Smart Shape Tool:
Use a line with zero thickness.
Add the text as a Custom Arrowhead on the (invisible) line.

Why would do that?

Or may be they did try it, but couldn't replicate it?
