i.e. when a string player is playing 2 notes at the same time. I have no idea how to do this...

Date Joined Apr 2008 Total Posts : 188 | Posted 5/23/2008 4:48 PM (GMT -6) | | All I do is write the two notes with a single stem, unless you also add the word "divisi", a string player will double stop it, just make sure your pairs of notes are physically playable in this mode.
A great idea for a new plug-in, how about a double-stopping checker? Maybe graded for difficulty, a bit like "Check Range"? How hard would this be to write, could be a useful thing to sell to MakeMusic! | Back to Top | |

You can also set them up in the Articulation Designer box to be automatically positioned correctly in your score when you enter them.

The arrows and the brackets are for more than 2 notes accords to indicate which notes have to be played together and which can be more arpegiated. Very interesting recourse for this are the Ysaye sonates for Violin solo, that he goes up to, if I remember well, 7 notes accords.
