I just purchased Finale 2005a.  I am able to scan fine, but when I bring the file through recognition it crashes almost every time.  I've tried even small files, just a few lines and am having the same problem.  I am running a 3 gh Windows xp machine with 1gh memory.  Should be ample.  I get the screen Finale has encountered a problem and needs to close, please tell Microsoft about this problem.  If I click send or don't send the report, it shuts down the program and reboots my computer.
 
Please help.  The pieces are too complex to manually input.

What format is the file you are trying to import?

I am not importing, I am scanning, but Finale saves in Tiff format after it scans, before it goes through the recognition process.

You should do one of two things:

1. Post this on the general forum as this is a forum specific to FinaleScript
2. Send an email to winsupport@makemusic.com. They can get you set up with scanning.

That said, do you have the latest version of the SmartScore Lite dll?
