In Finalescript, it says you can open a file, but what is the syntax to open a specific MUS file? I tried just open then the file name, then putting the name in quotes, then putting in the whole path ... Also loading a library. Nothing seems to do it.

I asked MM support this and related questions:

I find it difficult to understand the instructions for writing a macro. 1. How do i write a command to open a specific MUS file? 2. How do i write a command to select a whole file and change key signature to accidentals. 3. Can I copy music which includes changes of key signature? (Without all the sections getting transposed into the same key)

I am afraid that I wouldn’t be able to assist you with writing any Finalescripts, but I can direct you to a place where you can find help with this.  Go to http://forum.makemusic.com and enter the Finalescript Forum to post a question.  Support for Finalescript is limited to the scripts that are pre-written and if you find a single script that doesnt do what it is supposed to.

Ryan.

As you see, if noone looks at the Finalescript Forum, I am up s**t creek ...

All i want is for someone to tell me if these things are possible or not!

Someone with more knowledge than me PLEASE!
