I am using Finale 2011 to do some Aleoteric writing and when using the smart shape tool, it draws fine but as soon as I scroll to another page and then go back to the one I just worked on, all my work is gone. Known bug?

Have you forced a redraw of the page?

Smart Shapes can attach to measures or to notes. Which ones are you using? They do not, however, attach to pages like Text blocks can do.

Try redrawing the page (command-D) to see if they were there but just being shy.

strange thing is chris, they are smart shapes in the middle of measures. That's what I originally though also. I am using a custome line, it's the same as the second horizontal line that is standard with 2011 however just thicker.

Page 4, tried to fill in the white spaces under the last stave called "mix" with smart shape. when scrolling away from the page and returning, it is all gone. File to big to upload. 63MB. Lots of .Tiff Graphics in it also.

I just did the graphics in PhotoShop instead. I really wish there was a draw toolset in Finale.

Figured it out. It had to do with the staff attributes on the measures. I put hide all which then the smart shapes attached to so It hid the shapes as well.
