There has been a lot of advice to 2007 users to download some version or other of FinaleVST.dll with the promise of fixing the endless crashes that we have had to endure.

But where the heck is it?! And which version exactly should we be downloading?

It's not on the official Download page (why not?) nor is there a sticky message here that could direct us to the download url.

If it is going to be so helpful in preventing crashes, why is so hard to get ahold of?

Please advise on how to obtain this Magic Bullet,

DrH

From what I recall, only certain users were sent it privately when they asked for it. Pretty nifty, eh?

From I understand from a telephone call to MM this past week is that the FinaleVSTHost.dll that they are offering is verion .18.  2007c came with .19 and it caused problems with the Kontakt Player2 upgrade, which is for the full version of Garritan Personal Orchestra . What MM is will e-mail you is the .dll that came with 2007 which will allow articulations and expressions to work properly in humanplayback.  KP2 upgrade presented a conflict with some files and articulations and expressions did not work.  You will need to contact tech support via e-mail or phone and they can e-mail you the file.
