I have Finale 14.5 now. I discovered that I can no longer change clefs in the middle of a measure. I am doing a piano piece with constant changes of clefs and Finale simply won't accept them. None of them. And if I change a clef at the beginning of the measure I have to highlight the previous measure not the measure that will be changed. This never happened before. I am really sailing up a river of excrement without any means of propulsion. Has anybody got any solutions? Or has anybody else seen this?

Is this hapenning all of the time, or just with one score?
If it's just one score, check to see if you've not inadvertently got one (or more) measure(s) with more notes in than it should have.

You might want to post a score here so others migh see if they can spot any problems.

If preferences are set to display defined measure numbers, you might have a problem. Try setting it to display actual measure numbers. That should fix it.

If you are jumping from a much earlier version of Finale, know that in more recent versions one uses the Clef Tool to (drag) select the portion of the measure which will need the clef change. Then choose the clef. This is different from (much) earlier versions of the program.

This was actually the first time I have used Ver. 14.5 so I can't confirm whether it also happens in the former versions. I have used all the versions from Version 9 and updated regularly.

But the solution Zuill suggested turned out to be the right one!!! I set the display to "Actual measure numbers" and that solved the problem. I have no idea why, but thanks so much. You saved my life.

It has to do with a bug that has been in several versions. I hope v25 has fixed it.
