In the attached 2014 file, for some reason playback tempo doesn't work as expected. I've entered quarter notes to make it obvious. The tempo is set at Q = 163, and that's the tempo at which the metronome clicks, but the music actually plays back at around Q = 220. This happens whether I use a tempo marking to set the tempo, or just set it in the Playback Controls. The same offset happens at the tempo change.

If I export as MIDI, the resulting MIDI file has the correct tempo events in the conductor track, and it plays back properly.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

For what it is worth, the document is playing correctly for me.

Please specify the steps you've already taken, so that we can rule out things.
Have you e. g. rebooted? Tried trashing your preference file? Tested a brand new user account?

OK, It's doing this for all Finale files, even when I start from a supplied template. I'm guessing that the Audio system is confused about the clock speed...

will investigate further... no Idea where to address that in Finale...

I set up a new User account, worked fine there. Only difference I could find was that in the new account, the audio buffer defaults to 512. In my main account, I had the audio buffer set to 32 (!!!). Changed it to 128, Now OK, odd, and even odder that it's been able to play pack OK at that small a buffer setting.
