I have a bunch of old files where the parts did not have the first system indented.  I can't seem to figure out how to get FinaleScript to do this for me.  "Set left system margin to 72" evpus and the like doesn't to work.  Even selecting the staff system range to just the first system reverts me back to the mass edit tool. Any ideas on commands to do this?

Hi Ken,

You need to select the system(s) (or the page(s)) first, based on a mass selection (mass edit). Ex:

select system 1
left system margin 72 evpus

...should work! (command new to fin2005)

You can apply this to your bunch of files using the 'batch process folder' command. Note that in Finale 2005, you can batch process the subdirectories as well (command: batch process subfolders/subdirectories)

By the way, FinaleScript only understands selections made with Mass Edit (a PDK limitation behind this).

Best regards,
Robert

The above commands don't seem to do anything except select the 1st system. It doesn't indent the system margin at all. Could it be that since indentation of a single system usually requires a page layout selection be made this type of thing cannot be done?
