Hi everybody,
I'm trying to create a script in order to save documents as pdf. I'm almost all the time using my laptop -which is not connected to a printer- so I prefer to save my files as pdf and print later. I was creating parts for an ensemble and this became really annoying. So I wonder if anybody knows how to create an effective script for doing this. Thank you!

Hi Ren,

I downloaded a free software that converts any file to PDF. It works very well. The link is:

I had trouble with software995, but another one is called PDFCreator. If you have multiple PDFs to combine into one, you can also get PDFBlender. These are both shareware programs you can find by Googling.

I see no use in using a script.
Download a PDF printer driver and print to file. (You MUST include fonts with the PDF.)
There are many, many different ways to print to a PDF. They are often free, they frequently work well, and they do not in any way involve your witing a script. You are trying too hard!!

What about using a Finalescript to batch save as PDF? That would definitely be worth a look. As it is now, I still have to "Save as PDF" on each individual part.

For all the Mac users: I've created an Applescript that does just that: open a bunch of finale files (or a folder with files) and save them as PDF. It can be found on the Mac-forum.
