Hi,

I'm looking to transpose a piece from Db to E, and would normally go about doing this by simply changing the key signature. I am getting lots of double sharps and flats and unnecessary accidentals such as Cb and E#.

How do I avoid this please?

The accidentals might be as a result of the context. Without seeing the file, we might be giving bad advice.

Try transposing from D flat to C sharp first, then to E.
