Help!
I bought a UMAX 6400 scanner to use the
midiscan option, but I can't get it to work!
I've followed the advice and
troubleshooting as listed in the book, but
nothing seems to work!
(it's scanning 1 bit Black and White, 6
stave music! Straight up and down as I
can make it!) I keep getting these two
error messages:

#1: memory allocation error. Recognition
may be incomplete.

#2: Y-localization failed.

What do these mean? What should I do?
Please help me! Thanks,

Kenyon Williams

Do you have enough memory allotted to
the scanning program? Click on the
program icon (once, so it doesn't open)
and under file, select Get Info; from there
you can tell your Mac to allot more
memory to the program.
Hope this helps.
