I've imported rhythmic percussion parts from XML and then copied and pasted into my score.  Everything imports correctly from XML but when I copy/paste I lose percussion data.  Percussion noteheads appear on incorrect lines of the staff.  Notes have lost their percussion assignment (e.g. high/mid/low BD).  Noteheads appear yellow until they have been repitched to a corresponding percussion map assignment.  (It's almost like melodic quantization... if you know what I mean.)

I know I can change the percussion map and staff line placement from Score Manager, but the note's percussion MIDI value must first be assigned to a mapping... right?  I can't move all the BD1 notes down a line on the staff since the note are not mapped correctly, Finale doesn't know which notes are BD1.

See attached.

Zulli, you've helped with every problem so far... can you do this one?

OK. I;ve moved a little further now. How can I change all my percussion MIDI values of 70 to 50?

I don't know if this is all that you're looking for, but try this:

-select all
-go to MIDI/AUDIO
-choose Retranscribe

This should move most of the notes properly? Maybe? It's hard to know without knowing the original music.

Then, for the snare line, select all the measures and go to:
-Utilities
-Transpose Percussion Notes
-highlight one of the Note Types
-in the middle you'll see "Change Selected Note To", select what you want this to now be mapped to

With the random quad and bass notes, just highlight those notes individually and do the Transpose Percussion thing again.

Let me know if this was (or wasn't) what you were trying to do.
