Greetings, all...

I started up Finale 2014.5 to do some work today and got an "Update Available" message. I'm currently on 2014.5.7098. The available update is 2014.5 2500.0.0.7722.

Just to be sure... Is 2014.5 2500.0.0.7722 actually Finale v25? I'm going to update, but not until I finish a couple of arrangements I'm working on. I don't want to introduce any new variables in my workflow until I've cleared up my current work-in-progress.

Hi Jeff

You're correct, it is Finale 25.

Cheers...

It's been like this for a while now. The version mentioned in the message is not referred to as Finale 25, a completely different product than anything 2014.

Is it not possible to change this to a less confusing message?

25 should not conflict with your 2014.5 installation, same as 2014.5 didn't mess with 2014 and neither disturbed 2011 on my system.

In fact, I don't ever remember a version overwriting another and I go back to v1.

We've reported the confusing message, but I guess MakeMusic hasn't found it necessary to fix the error. Maybe it is supposed to be confusing. Not sure.
