I'm having a problem with this one- I'm trying to write a mixed triplet: quarter/eighth, to show a shuffle feel. I can't figure out how to do in in 2008 simple entry. Any suggestions?

Create a triplet of 1/8th notes, then edit it. (Tuplets are defined by the first note.)

Or, set your triplet default as 3 eighths in the space of two eighths. Enter the quarter, enter the eighth.

Either way works.

Tuplets are defined by the first note ONLY if your tuplet default says "use current."
