just got a bunch of symphonic files where many staff names contain a line feed, like "English Horn"
I'm trying to write a script to correct that, but FS won't recognize the staff name...
Anyone?
thanks,

search names "^l" replace with " "
(and batch process (sub)folder(s), or apply to all open docs)
That should do the trick!
Generally speaking, FS seach and replace has a bunch of caret inserts: //- '^l': line feed //- '^t': tab //- '^T': title //- '^d': file description //- '^c': copyright text //- '^@': copyright symbol insert //- '^C': composer //- '^s' or '^#': sharp //- '^b': flat // '^S': double sharp //- '^B': double flat //- '^n': natural //- '^^': real caret //<65> ASCII character

I just tried it in Fin2004c (mac) and it works, but for ALL text blocks - a little dangereous... You cannot specify "names" in FS/Fin2004.
FS 2005 won't work in Fin2004.

thanks,

Documents started in FinWin2004 have this annoying detail: when printed to a PDF driver the triple slash character (ascii 190) in Maestro will still look good on screen, but when the resulting PDF is printed on paper the middle slash will print as an outline! In order to overcome this we have found the only solution to be a font swap for this character only. (we cannot swap the fonts on a global basis).
thanks,
