I'm running PrintMusic 2008, and would like to know if there is anyway to scale my scores down to fit more music per page, perhaps something to reduce the music font from 24 to something smaller

You may get more responses if you post in either the Mac or PC Notation areas.

However, to answer your question:
In Finale, you can specify a percentage page reduction from the standard size; you can also specify a further reduction of the size of the staff.
You can find these in the Page Format dialog, which is under the Document menu.

I assume the same is true for PrintMusic.
