//Reset Background Menu item "Program options" click "Palettes and Backgrounds" click radio "Solid Color" click OK
/*
The problem is that when I use this script, it stalls at the "Palettes and Backgrounds" window. Then I have to click on "Palettes and Backgrounds," wait for Finale to load them, and then choose the white solid manuscript texture I prefer. Can anyone help with this script so that the script does all this?
Thanks. Arthur J. Michaels Finale 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007c.r2 (using 2007c.r2) P4, 3.00 GHz, 3.0 GB RAM, SB Audigy 2, Windows XP SP3, Garritan CoMB www.myspace.com/arthurjmichaels | Back to Top | |

I also use this script
//Reset Background Menu item "Program options" list "Palettes and Backgrounds" click radio "Solid Color" Press ok
which works ... to some degree - it always ends up with the grey background color (third color from the right in the bottom row), no matter what it was before
what, if any, specific wording could be added to this script so that it ends up with the color I want? (e.g. the teal green, fourth color from the right in the bottom row)
anybody?? and why can't this be fixed? (this must be bothering lots of people, no?) Finale 97 - 2005, 2008, 2009b, Cubase Essential 4, Pro Tools 8, Fujitsu-Siemens AMILO Xi3650 laptop, 18.4 in. I wonder if the script doesn't work for me because it's trying to continue the script while Finale is busy. Arthur J. //Reset Background Menu item "Program options" list "Palettes and Backgrounds" click radio "Solid Color" click "Select"
the script command click "Select" doesn't do anything, I have not been able to actually get it to 1) open and then 2) choose a color and then 3) apply it what could the correct commands be to achieve this? any hot script writers out there? MM needs to fix the bug in which it arbitrarily changes user settings to defaults. This have been going on now since Finale 2006. Arthur J.
