Hi, I am a composer and arranger of classical and fingerstyle guitar music from UK. I would like to hear from others like myself who use Finale for guitar notation as I have an idea to develop a guitarists plug-in to make notating/transposing from other instruments and setting to tablature more efficient. Hi, Anon:

I do an enormous amount of TAB (for other people; I don't play the guitar). My biggest complaint with Finale's Auto TAB plug-in is that we can't specify the range of frets and/or strings to use. This means that I have to use Note Mover quite a lot to bring notes from the treble staff down to the TAB.

Most of what I use finale for is classical guitar arrangements, much of which gets translated to tab. After a couple of years, I've started to catch on...well, give me another five or so, and then maybe...

The problem I have is with the palm mute. The work arounds are dreadful. I would appreciate a more intuitive TAB interface.
