I'm trying to rename staves in several files. I've managed to create a script that opens Score Manager, clicks "Soprano Voice," clicks "Full Name" which then opens the window where the new name will be typed. So, the next command I created was 'type text "SOPRANO"' but it ignores that. I've tried various "near" "under" etc. commands to no avail.

On this forum I've noted that Score Manager is often incompatible with Finalescript so before I tried seven hundred other variations I thought I thought I'd seek the wisdom here.

Also, I tried to get the script to open "Text>Font" in the Edit Text window and I couldn't make that happen either. (I want to change the "style" and the "font size")

*IF* If there is a way to do all this I'm also wondering how I get Finalescript to delete what is already written in the text window. Is there such as thing as a "Ctrl +a" "delete" keyboard command?

Many thanks!
Don

UPDATE: I've solved part of my problem. I just found a suggestion from Kelby (a Make Music employee) in a recent post where he suggested using "type raw" e.g.

type raw "SOPRANO"

This worked perfectly. (Thank you Kelby)

But, I still can't figure out how to delete what's already in the text box, or how to change the font size and style.

Have you tried the search and replace function?
