Hello!

Does somebody know how to make a script that change one font to another? This is normally in the 'Options' menu

I know work on Finale2005, and I change my macintosh (was on OS9 and now on OSX). And I have to change, for example, "BI BoldItalicTimes" to "Times" with "italic" and "bold" options.

Thanks a lot!

Sorry for my approximative english... and my Finale is in french, so I always have to translate the technical words to be understood here!

Franck,

Under the Options menu, you can choose Data Check, swap one font for another. This will globally change one type of font to another for the entire document.

In the Finalescript palete, there is a pre-made script, "Styled text search and replace". It contains many scripts.

One of which is;
search "" [times] 12 replace "" [times new roman] 13 //(in that case "" means 'anything')

Is that what you're looking for? That script would search for any text that's Times 12pt. and relace it with Times New Roman 13pt. Just change those parameters to your specific fonts. If you precede that search command with PROCESS ALL open, it'll fix every file that's currently open. Or use BATCH PROCESS FOLDER, put all of you files in one folder and run that command, and they'll all get fixed.

Hope this helps.
