This is good news. According to the splash screen we get when Finale begins we'll need to purchase a discounted upgrade if we have an older version of TGTools. Money well spent, of course.

After adding notes, dynamics and selecting all with the selection tool Create Hairpins v3.00beta3 doesn't appear to be doing anything. Nothing shows up in the Undo list either.

I've never used the Add Pitch Names plugin before but v3.00beat3 doesn't appear to do anything to the score. It does show up on the Undo list however and when I choose to add them as Lyrics a look into the Lyric Window displays what appears to be Asian Kanji text.

Add Remove Space 3.00beta3 seems to always add to the end of the measure. Changing the option to "beginning" or "selection" makes no difference.

Not sure it the "Include space between notes and barlines?" option is working for Expand/Compress Spacing 3.00beat3 plugins. There's no effect on between the opening barline and first note (Is this only affected by the ?Modify a measure's leading white space plugin"?). Only the Expand plugin seems to change the space between the last note and barline but having the option checked or unchecked doesn't make a difference.

My AV reports the file infected with something called "DRep." Hmm…

Did you download the file directly from Jari's Tobias's site?

Had the experience with my Norton security that it would remove some of my plugins and quarantine them and some removed by Norton.
Had to go in and tell it that these were not to be removed or quarantined.

I have downloaded and installed Fin v25 and TGTools 64 bit. but a strange thing happened: when I tried to create some own shortcuts, Fin v25 got out of control. Some new shortcuts don 't want to work, browser can't find saved files, musical text input (MIDI) impossible. Moreover, my old Fin14.5 handmade shortcuts became crazy.
It 's just only my experience, or something like that had happened to someone else?
Maybe it would be logical to wait before paying the money and stay with 2014,5?

Does Version 3 offer any new functionality, or is it just a port to 64-bit?

I doubt there is any new functionality, but would love to be proved wrong. With all due respect to Tobias Giesen, there have been features continued over for many versions that do not work, and may never have worked properly. I'm thinking of "Fine Tune Slurs" and the "Spacing Utilities". Still, many things do work and TGTools is indispensable if you want to get any work done.

about the only things from the Pro version I use any more are Cue Notes (Finale's is broken) and Modify Slurs, to remove collisions with (only some, alas) accents. Those are certainly worth the upgrade fee for me, though.

In v.300beat5 the Create Hairpins plugin seems to only work if your working with p and f. Hairpins are not created between other dynamics.

"v3.00 Beta 5 (Win, 64 bit) available"

Might need to wait until the word 'beta' is removed. :-)
I must say waiting for JW plug-ins is getting frustrating. Since Finale can't seem to incorporate things it should by default, I, we, NEED JW plug-ins.

I hear you. I'm just doing what I can to speed along the process - assuming Tobias checks these forums for bug reports (unless, of course, he's checking the new Help Community instead). :p

I actually thought he lost interest in TG Tools as there was no activity on his site for a long while. Seems like he had vanished!

If Finale felt it needed to supply a lite version of TG Tools I don't see why they don't also include JW plug-ins as well. IMHO, JW plug-ins a the better of the two if I had to select just one package.

That's it! Have a JW plugins "Lite" version included with Finale, and to get a fuller version purchase that from Jari. Patterson, and Tobias handle it this way.
