My daughter brought Smartmusic studio version 8.4 from her school.  She was given an activation code, but when I enter it, I receive the following message: 
 
"Sorry, no subscriptions are available from this code."
 
Other students in her class have used the same code to activate their subscriptions with no trouble.  One of the teachers is trying to work through this problem with tech support, but he has much more to do that worry about subscription problems.
 
Does anyone have any ideas?
 
I'm running Windows XP Pro - signed in as Administrator

Make sure to capitalize the letters when entering them (I can't remember if it even lets you do otherwise). Assuming that's not it, perhaps someone else in the class signed up more than once, or something else happened that caused all of the subscriptions to be used. I recommend you give them a call tomorrow morning (it's a free call). They'll be able to help you.

What a novel concept !!

I called Smartmusic's tech support this morning. They answered on the first ring. The technician spoke plain English. He fixed the problem within one minute.

The software works great.
