Has anyone out there figured out a way to use Finale script to take the instrument name from pg. 1, upper left corner of an extracted instrument part and copy/paste it to somewhere on pg. 2ff, changing the font size along the way?

Do you mean, as a page text block? What does "pg. 2ff" mean?

My guess is that "pg. 2ff" means the following frame attributes for the text block:

Attach To Page
Page Range 2 Through ∞

What RonB is trying do do with Finalescript would indeed be a nice feature, since part extraction doesn't do this (yet).
