Is there any way in Finale 2008 or 2010 to create either a heavy horizontal line in the score that is not connected to a measure? Ideally, I would like to be able to
- vary the weight - have tick marks at the end going either up or down.
The dividers I need almost always extend from the left to the right page margin. I tried using the smart shape horizontal bracket, but for some reason, the ticks always go up, and the "Flip" option is greyed out.
An alternative would be to have text box outlines that show only on the top and sides, bottom and sides, or sides only; this would let me create a single box that spans pages, as an alternative to "directed" horizontal lines.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
