I am using Finale 2000 and everything was working great but now after a few minutes of editing the system shuts down. Any wisdom on what I should look for to solve this?

A good clean computer won't give you as
many problems. I'd start by running
Norton Disk Doctor and Speed Disk, then
rebuild the desktop. If that doesn't do it, try
deactivating all but the fonts you need,
and check the ones you're using with
ATM. From there, look for extension
conflicts, which could take a while. You
could also check to see if you're using the
latest updates of the system software,
Finale (you don't have to upgrade, just get
the latest version of 2000), and printer
drivers. Even if these aren't the problem,
you'll probably have less problems with
other programs.

Hi,
Your entire computer is shutting down
while you're working? It might be more
serious than just Finale. Does it happen
with other apps?
