I am trying to learn about Layers in piano music. I need some pointers or a more complete tutorial than is provided with the software.

I also cannot access the Instruction Manual through Help. All I can see are the first 12 pages, including the table of contests. I see on page 137, I think, a discussion of layers, but am unable to go there.

You've posted on the SmartMusic forum, which is a practice software; from your description, it sounds like you're using a notation software. I would recommend posting on the appropriate Notation forum (either Mac or Windows) and include what version of software you're using.
