The first two years I used SM, I could minimize the program and then come back to it after taking attendance or whatever else I need to do on my laptop. Now, I have to close SM out in order to get back to any of my other programs. Am I missing some setting? Closing out the program is really inconvenient. Thanks!

Pam,

Thanks for posting. It sounds like you have SmartMusic running in full screen mode. Go to the View menu at the top of the screen and uncheck Full Screen. You can also use CTRL + F. Once in windowed mode you will be able to minimize the screen.

You can also look in the menu under the name Smartmusic in upper left and you will find "hide Smartmusic" which essentially minimizes it. This is the way I do it when I have it up for the Smartboard in front of class and need to go to something else temporarily.
